Does Argos Inn provide bar service?
Yes, we are well known for our menus of innovative and classic cocktails!
Our beverage director can create custom menus that satisfy a wide range of preferences and ensure efficiency of service for your guests.
You may choose:
-Full Service (beer, wine, & cocktails)
-Beer & Wine Only
*Non-alcoholic options are always included.
How is the bar fee calculated?
All events have a beverage minimum, based on the number of guests.
To satisfy the beverage minimum you may select:
- Open Bar: You pay for all drinks ordered.
- Cash Bar: Your guests pay for the drinks they order.
- A combination of both: For example, you pay for two drinks per guest, followed by a cash bar.
What seating arrangements are possible at Argos Inn? What’s the maximum capacity for each?
- Cocktail parties - up to 120 people indoors and up to 175 people indoor/outdoor. (No extra fee for tables and chairs.)
- Formal dinner parties - up to 65 people. For weddings: Special accommodations can be made to seat up to 150.
(Renting tables and chairs is necessary in this scenario.)
- Boardroom - up to 20
Does Argos Inn provide catering?
We do not have a full kitchen or food service staff, so you are welcome to utilize the catering company of your choice for your event.
We have relationships with many wonderful catering companies in the area.
Here are some of our recommendations. We've got flower providers here also!
Is there parking for private events?
There are a few nearby options:
-True Insurance parking lot is available after 5pm on weekdays and all day on weekends.
(300 feet from Argos Inn)
-Seneca Street parking garage. (Two blocks from Argos Inn)
-Metered street parking. It is free in Ithaca on nights and weekends.
*We do have accessible parking spots available on site.
Can I have my wedding event at Argos Inn?
Yes! Argos Inn is a wonderful venue for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, wedding after parties, and post wedding brunches.
Does Argos Inn offer room blocks?
Yes. We have 13 boutique hotel rooms available.
How it works:
-We put a courtesy hold on the rooms (without a deposit) so that your guests have time to book their rooms.
-Full payment for the room block is due two months prior to the reservation date. At this point, if there are still rooms not booked we will notify you before releasing them to the public.
-Your guests must call the front desk directly to book the rooms once your room block is created.
If you’re planning a wedding room block at the Inn, we require that you host at least one of your wedding events here.
